Imam Ali (a.s.) said to Komeil:
o, Komeil, this is not important to pray and fast and pay alms. it is important that your prayer (and other deeds) to be performed before god with a pure heart and properly accompanied with humility.

the actual aspects of a deed as well as its way and quality determine its real value, not its appearance and quantity. as imam ali (a.s.) emphasizes komeil that one should pay attention to the spirit of deed instead of its appearance and considering its quantity, because the final aim of these good deeds is man's education, development and improvement, and it depends on its sincerity not its quantity.

قال مولانا امیر المؤمنین علی ابن ابی طالب علیه السلام
يا كُمَيْلُ! لَيْسَ الشَّأْنُ أَنْ تُصَلِّىَ وَ تَصُوْمَ وَ تَتَصَدَّقَ، اَلشَّأْنُ أَنْ تَكُونَ الصَّلاةُ بِقَلْب نَقِىٍّ وَ عَمَل عِنْدَ اللّهِ مَرْضِىٍّ وَ خُشُوع سَوىٍّ

ای کمیل! شأن و ارزش در نماز خواندن و روزه گرفتن و صدقه دادن نیست، بلکه ارزش آن است که عبادات تو با قلب خالص و با خشوع و برای او باشد

Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) says:

Eid is for him whose fast have been accepted by Allah, and whose worship has been appreciated by Allah, everyday in which you do not disobey Allah is a day of Eid.
Nahj-ul Balaghah

قال امیر المومنین علی علیه اسلام

انما هو عید لمن قبل الله صیامه و شکر قیامه، و کل یوم لا یعصی الله فیه فهو عید
این عید کسی است که خدا روزه اش را پذیرفته و نماز او را ستوده است، و هر روز که خدا را نافرمانی نکنند، آن روز عید است
