Imam Bagher (a.s)-the fifth leader of Islam after the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said:



declare to our shiites that no one receives divine favors and bounties unless through action.



brief description :


this speech of imam bagher (a.s.) is a reply to those who suppose that they could reach the highest position before god only by adopting the name of shiism and expressing love to the household of prophet (s.a.), while we know that islam is based on action and real shiites are those whose practical program is an extraction from practical programs of imam ali (a.s.) and his companions, and basically shiite is derived from the word `moshaieat' meaning following somebody. thus those are real shiite of household of prophet (s.a.) who follow them.



قال الباقر علیه السلام



أَبْلِغْ شِيعَتَنا أَنَّهُ لا يُنالُ ما عِنْدَ اللّه إلاّ بِعَمَل


به شیعیان ما اعلام کن که هیچ کس به رحمت و بخشایش الهی نمی رسد مگر با عمل خود

Imam Ali (a.s.) said to Komeil:
o, Komeil, this is not important to pray and fast and pay alms. it is important that your prayer (and other deeds) to be performed before god with a pure heart and properly accompanied with humility.

brief description
the actual aspects of a deed as well as its way and quality determine its real value, not its appearance and quantity. as imam ali (a.s.) emphasizes komeil that one should pay attention to the spirit of deed instead of its appearance and considering its quantity, because the final aim of these good deeds is man's education, development and improvement, and it depends on its sincerity not its quantity.


قال مولانا امیر المؤمنین علی ابن ابی طالب علیه السلام
يا كُمَيْلُ! لَيْسَ الشَّأْنُ أَنْ تُصَلِّىَ وَ تَصُوْمَ وَ تَتَصَدَّقَ، اَلشَّأْنُ أَنْ تَكُونَ الصَّلاةُ بِقَلْب نَقِىٍّ وَ عَمَل عِنْدَ اللّهِ مَرْضِىٍّ وَ خُشُوع سَوىٍّ

ای کمیل! شأن و ارزش در نماز خواندن و روزه گرفتن و صدقه دادن نیست، بلکه ارزش آن است که عبادات تو با قلب خالص و با خشوع و برای او باشد

There are six things not existing in the believers: strictness, peevishness, envy, stubbornness, lie and injustice.

قال الصادق علیه السلام
سِتَّةٌ لا تَكُونُ فِى مُؤْمِن: اَلْعُسْرُ وَ النَّكْدُ وَ الْحَسَدُ وَ الْلَّجاجَةُ وَ الْكِذْبُ وَ الْبَغْىُ
شش صفت است که در مومن (حقیقی) نیست: سخت گیری، ترشرویی، حسادت، لجاجت، دروغگویی و بی عدالتی

هر کس در حال رفع حاجت وبرآوردن نیاز برادر مومنش باشد خداوند نیاز و احتیاج او را بر طرف خواهد کرد

"when the angels said: o marium, surely allah gives you good news with a word from him (of one) whose name is the '. messiah, isa son of marium, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to allah)...

...she said: my lord! when shall there be a son (born) to i me, and man has not touched me? he said: even so, allah creates what he pleases; when he has decreed a matter, he only says to it, be, and it is...

...surely the likeness of isa is with allah as the likeness of adam; he created him from dust, then said to him, be, and he was.

(this is) the truth from your lord, so be not of the disputers."

إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلآئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكِ اللّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاء إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِندَ اللّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثِمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُن مِّن الْمُمْتَرِينَ

ياد كن هنگامى [را] كه فرشتگان گفتند اى مريم خداوند تو را به كلمه‏اى از جانب خود كه نامش مسيح عيسى‏بن‏مريم است مژده مى‏دهد در حالى كه [او] در دنيا و آخرت آبرومند و از مقربان [درگاه خدا] است
[مريم] گفت پروردگارا چگونه مرا فرزندى خواهد بود با آنكه بشرى به من دست نزده است گفت چنين است [كار] پروردگار خدا هر چه بخواهد مى‏آفريند چون به كارى فرمان دهد فقط به آن مى‏گويد باش پس مى‏باشد
در واقع م ثل عيسى نزد خدا همچون م ثل [خلقت] آدم است [كه] او را از خاك آفريد سپس بدو گفت باش پس وجود يافت
[آنچه درباره عيسى گفته شد] حق [و] از جانب پروردگار تو است پس از ترديدكنندگان مباش

Imam Jawad (P.B.U.H) - the ninth leader of Islam after the Prophet Muhammad( P.B.U.H) said: the believers require three qualities: divine success, a preacher from the heart and soul, and acceptance from advisers.

brief description
in this path, with a lot of acclivity and declivity which man should go through it along his life for being saved from innumerable dangers which threaten his prosperity and also becoming a useful and effective individual in the society, first he needs a spiritual and immaterial relation with god being supported by his pure essence, and then an aware and informed conscience advising him inwardly, and then hearing ears using the thoughts, guidance, advices and consultation of others.

قال امام جواد علیه السلام
اَلْمُؤْمِنُ يَحْتاجُ إلى ثَلثِ خِصَال: توفيقٌ مِنَ اللّه، وَ وَاعِظٌ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ، وَ قَبُولٌ مِمَّنْ يَنْصَحُهُ
مومن به سه خصلت نیاز دارد: توفیق از جانب خدا، واعظی از درونش، وقبول نصیحت از ناصح

The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said:
one hour of justice is better than one year of worship.

brief description:
worship is the same relation of creature with creator and `possible' with `necessary' and paying attention to this relation and connection. those worships are important educational lessons which have an effective role on correcting man's spirit and mind.
however, we read in the above tradition, one hour of justice is better and higher than one year of (recommended) worship.
and somewhere else we read one hour of thinking and meditation is higher than one night (or one year) of worship. and these expressions show the critical importance of justice and meditation, both having a common origin. wherever there is not justice, there is not thinking, meditation and wisdom


قال رسول الله صلّ الله علیه و آله
عَدْلُ ساعَة خَيْرٌ مِنْ عِبادَةِ سَنَة
ساعتی به عدالت رفتار کردن (نزد خدا) بهتر از یکسال عبادت کردن است

It is narrated from Imam Sadiq as:
No one boasts to the others unless for the inferiority he feels in himself!

brief description:
nowadays, psychological and psychoanalytic researches have proved that arrogance and boasting to others is nothing else than an inferiority complex. those who are affected to this complex and suffer from it, resort to this wrong way that is magnifying themselves artificially for compensating their deficiencies, and thereby they add to their social inferiority and make themselves more hated.
this psychological point is clearly observed in the miraculous speech narrated from imam sadiq a.s. but the faithful people are always modest before others due to their internal dignity.

ما مِنْ رَجُل تَجَبَّرَ أَوْ تَكَبَّرَ إلاّ لِذِلَّة يَجِدُها فِى نَفْسِهِ

"And their saying: surely we have killed the messiah, isa son of marium, the messenger of allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure."

وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلاَّ اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًا

و گفته ايشان كه ما مسيح عيسى بن مريم پيامبر خدا را كشتيم و حال آنكه آنان او را نكشتند و مصلوبش نكردند ليكن امر بر آنان مشتبه شد و كسانى كه در باره او اختلاف كردند قطعا در مورد آن دچار شك شده‏اند و هيچ علمى بدان ندارند جز آنكه از گمان پيروى مى‏كنند و يقينا او را نكشتند

The Prophet Mohammad (s.a.) says:
martyrdom of imam hossein (a.s.) creates a fire and heat in the hearts of believers which will never be extinguished.

brief description:
there have been a lot of bloody wars in the world which are forgotten by lapse of several months and years. however, the remembrance of self-sacrifice of those who devoted themselves in the way of god and freedom of men as well as honor and virtue, shall not be forgotten because god, freedom, honor and virtue do not get old. imam hossein (a.s.) and his companions were the pioneers of these warriors for faith.

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) says:
a faithful believer is always anxious for two things; for his past sins that he does not know how god will treat with him, and for his remaining life that he does not know what he will do!

brief description:
the most manifest sign of belief is feeling responsibility, both for what have been already done and for the duties and obligations that should be done.
those having these two feelings, are always thinking about compensation of past negligence, as well as finding the best possible way for using future opportunities. these thoughts are codes of development and progress of a man or a nation. those neither thinking to the previous actions, nor intending to build the future, are poor and miserable.

قال امام جعفر صادق علیه السلام
اَلْمُؤْمِنُ بَيْنَ مَخافَتَيْنِ: ذَنْبٌ قَدْ مَضَى لايَدْرِى ما صُنْعُ اللّهُ فيه و عُمْرٌ بَقِىَ لايَدرِى ما يَكْتَسِبُ فيه
مومن همواره نگران در مورد دو چیز است: برای گناهان گذشته اش که نمی داند خدا با او در این مورد چگونه رفتار خواهد کرد و برای باقی عمرش که نمی داند چگونه عمل خواهد کرد

"o followers of the book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against allah, but (speak) the truth; the messiah, isa son of marium is only a messenger of allah and his word which he communicated to marium and a spirit from him; believe therefore in allah and his messengers, and say not, three. desist, it is better for you; allah is only one allah; far be it from his glory that he should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is his, and allah is sufficient for a protector."

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لاَ تَغْلُواْ فِي دِينِكُمْ وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْحَقِّ إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِّنْهُ فَآمِنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ ثَلاَثَةٌ انتَهُواْ خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ إِنَّمَا اللّهُ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ سُبْحَانَهُ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ وَكِيلا

اى اهل كتاب در دين خود غلو مكنيد و در باره خدا جز [سخن] درست مگوييد مسيح عيسى بن مريم فقط پيامبر خدا و كلمه اوست كه آن را به سوى مريم افكنده و روحى از جانب اوست پس به خدا و پيامبرانش ايمان بياوريد و نگوييد [خدا] سه‏گانه است باز ايستيد كه براى شما بهتر است‏خدا فقط معبودى يگانه است منزه از آن است كه براى او فرزندى باشد آنچه در آسمانها و آنچه در زمين است از آن اوست و خداوند بس كارساز است

Imam is trustee of god on the earth and among God's people, and his proof for the servants and his successor in the cities and summoner towards him and protector of divine sanctuaries.

brief description
in this tradition, which is a part of a long tradition in respect to introduction of imamate position, it is referred to five parts of heavy and important duties of imam.
1- imam is a treasurer and trustee of revelation and protector of all sciences, commands and knowledges of religion.
2- imam is an alive reason and obvious proof and introducer of divine religion.
3- imam is a divine supervisor and authority and his representative among people.
4- imam is one who, bids to goodness and forbids of badness and greatest emissary of religion.
5- imam is a protector of sanctuary of divine


قال علی بن موسی الرضا علیه اسلام
اَلاِْمامُ أَمينُ اللّهِ فِى أَرْضِهِ وَ خَلْقِهِ وَ حُجَّتُهُ عَلَى عِبادِهِ وَ خَلِيفَتُهُ فى بَِلادِهِ وَ الدّاعِى اِلَى اللّهِ وَ الذابُّ عَنْ حَرِيمِ اللّهِ
امام امین خدا در زمین است، و حجتش بر بندگانش، و خلیفه ی او در شهرهایش، و دعوت کننده به سوی خدا و مدافع حریمش

when your good deed makes you happy and your bad deed disturbs you, you are a believer.

Brief discription:
islam says that all men are born with a pure primordial nature, nature of belief and love to goodness. taints and sins may affect gradually on man's spirit and soul and change it and turn it totally. however, until man is interested in goodness and hates badness, the spirit of belief and first pure nature still exist in him.
miserable people who are not only disturbed by their bad deeds, but also glory in them and or when they do a self-sacrifice, righteousness, forgiveness and justice become regretful, they are unbelievers.


قال رسول الله صل الله عليه و آله
اذا سَرَّتْكَ حَسَنَتُكَ وَ سائَتْكَ سَيِّئَتُكَ فَاَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ
هر گاه کردار نيکت تو را شاد کرد، و عمل نادرستت آزارت داد، پس تو مومن هستي

"and when allah will say: o isa son of marium! did you say to men, take me and my mother for two gods besides allah he will say: glory be to thee, it did not befit me that i should say what i had no right to (say); if i had said it, thou wouldst indeed have known it; thou knowest what is in my mind, and i do not know what is in thy mind, surely thou art the great knower of the unseen things."

وَإِذْ قَالَ اللّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِكَ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ

و [ياد كن] هنگامى را كه خدا فرمود اى عيسى پسر مريم آيا تو به مردم گفتى من و مادرم را همچون دو خدا به جاى خداوند بپرستيد گفت منزهى تو مرا نزيبد كه [در باره خويشتن] چيزى را كه حق من نيست بگويم اگر آن را گفته بودم قطعا آن را مى‏دانستى آنچه در نفس من است تو مى‏دانى و آنچه در ذات توست من نمى‏دانم چرا كه تو خود داناى رازهاى نهانى

Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) -the first leader of Islam after the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) -said:
truth is heavy and difficult but pleasant, and falsehood is light and easy but painful and dangerous.

brief discription:
how eloquent and interesting is description of imam ali (a.s.) regarding truth and falsehood in the above short sentence! usually truth has a harsh appearance and occasionally a bitter taste but is very pleasant. it is easily absorbed by the body of community and society is strengthened thereby.
but falsehood is very easy and sometimes very delicious and sweet, but its effect is fatal like a delicious but poisonous food which its destructive effect on the heart, stomach, and intestines becomes manifest when it is swallowed. falsehood too like this food destroys different organs of society.

Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).

قال الله تعالی فی کتابه القرآن المجید
قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى كَلَمَةٍ سَوَاء بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقُولُواْ اشْهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ

بگو اى اهل كتاب بياييد بر سر سخنى كه ميان ما و شما يكسان است بايستيم كه جز خدا را نپرستيم و چيزى را شريك او نگردانيم و بعضى از ما بعضى ديگر را به جاى خدا به خدايى نگيرد پس اگر [از اين پيشنهاد] اعراض كردند بگوييد شاهد باشيد كه ما مسلمانيم (نه شما)ا

when allah will say: o isa son of marium! remember my favor on you and on your mother, when i strengthened you i with the holy spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and i when of old age, and when i taught you the book and the wisdom and the taurat and the injeel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by my permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by my permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by my permission; and when you brought forth the dead by my permission; and when i withheld the children of israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said: this is nothing but clear enchantment

Glorious Koran(5:110)



إِذْ قَالَ اللّهُ يَا عِيسى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلاً وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنجِيلَ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي وَتُبْرِىءُ الأَكْمَهَ وَالأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ الْمَوتَى بِإِذْنِي وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ


ياد كن] هنگامى را كه خدا فرمود اى عيسى پسر مريم نعمت مرا بر خود و بر مادرت به ياد آور آنگاه كه تو را به روح‏القدس تاييد كردم كه در گهواره [به اعجاز] و در ميانسالى [به وحى] با مردم سخن گفتى و آنگاه كه تو را كتاب و حكمت و تورات و انجيل آموختم و آنگاه كه به اذن من از گل [چيزى] به شكل پرنده مى‏ساختى پس در آن مى‏دميدى و به اذن من پرنده‏اى مى‏شد و كور مادرزاد و پيس را به اذن من شفا مى‏دادى و آنگاه كه مردگان را به اذن من [زنده از قبر] بيرون مى‏آوردى و آنگاه كه [آسيب] بنى‏اسرائيل را هنگامى كه براى آنان حجتهاى آشكار آورده بودى از تو باز داشتم پس كسانى از آنان كه كافر شده بودند گفتند اين[ها چيزى] جز افسونى آشكار نيست

And we have made every man's actions to cling to his neck, and we will bring forth to him on the resurrection day a book which he will find wide open:
read your book; your own self is sufficient as a reckoner against you this day.
whoever goes aright, for his own soul does he go aright; and whoever goes astray, to its detriment only does he go astray: nor can the bearer of a burden bear the burden of another, nor do we chastise until we raise a messenger

وَكُلَّ إِنسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ طَآئِرَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابًا يَلْقَاهُ مَنشُورًا
اقْرَأْ كَتَابَكَ كَفَى بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا
مَّنِ اهْتَدَى فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدي لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّى نَبْعَثَ رَسُولاً
و كارنامه هر انسانى را به گردن او بسته‏ايم و روز قيامت براى او نامه‏اى كه آن را گشاده مى‏بيند بيرون مى‏آوريم
نامه‏ات را بخوان كافى است كه امروز خودت حسابرس خود باشى
هر كس به راه آمده تنها به سود خود به راه آمده و هر كس بيراهه رفته تنها به زيان خود بيراهه رفته است و هيچ بردارنده‏اى بار گناه ديگرى را بر نمى‏دارد و ما تا پيامبرى برنينگيزيم به عذاب نمى‏پردازيم

one who sits in a meeting in which our doctrine is revived, his heart shall not die when the hearts die!

it is clearly inferred from the above sentence that the inevitable duty of followers of the prophet's household is to revive their programs in their meetings, knowing their doctrine, perceiving the spirit of their speeches, and becoming familiar with their instructions and that is to say their meeting should be a meeting of correction and readiness for life, not the meeting of amusement, asking requirements and thinking about personal troubles and desires and disregarding human, social and belief concerns. such a meeting will revive hearts and awaken the thoughts.

Imam Bagher (P.B.U.H) – the fifth leader after the Prophet Muhammad- says:
Three things demolish man: one who magnifies his good deed, and one who forgets his sins, and one who is opinionated.

Brief description:
those who magnify their deeds, surely are satisfied with that, and this attitude hinders them from progress and development.
and those who forget their sins, everyday are stained with a new sin instead of compensating their previous sins and will fall down suddenly.
and those who rely only on their own opinion, are deprived from the support of public thoughts and abundant minds and knowledge of others. they are repeatedly involved in mistakes, and finally their back will break under the mass of problems.

قال رسول الله صل الله علیه و آله

ثَلثُ قَاصِماتُ الظَّهْرِ: رَجُلٌ إسْتَكْثَرَ عَمَلَهُ وَ نَسِىَ ذُنُوبَهُ وَ أَعْجَبَ بِرَأيِهِ
سه چیز پشت انسان را می شکند: کسی که کارهای نیکش را بزرگ کند، کسی که گناهانش را فراموش کند، و شخصی که خود رأی و مستبد باشد

Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) says:
Right of friends
Do good to your brother when he is bent upon doing harm to you. When he ignores or declines to recognize the kinship, befriend him, go to his help and try to maintain relations. If he is miserly with you and refuses to help you, be generous with him and support him financially. If he is cruel with you, be kind and considerate with him. If he harms you accept his excuses. Behave with him as if he is a master and you are a slave, and he is a benefactor and you are a beneficiary.

But be careful that you do not thus behave with undeserving and mean persons. Do not develop friendship with the enemy of your friend otherwise your friend will turn into an enemy. Advise your friend sincerely and to the best of your ability even though he may not like it. Keep a complete control over your temper and anger because I never found anything more beneficial at the end and producing more good results than such a control.

Be mild, pleasant and lenient with him who is harsh, gross, and strict with you; gradually he will turn to your behaviour. Grant favour and be considerate to your enemy because you will thus gain either one of the two kinds of victories: (one rising above your enemy, the other of reducing the intensity of his hostility). If you want to cease relations with your friend, then do not break off totally, let your heart retain some consideration for him so that you will still have some regard for him if he comes back to you. Do not disappoint a person who holds a good opinion of you and do not make him change his opinion. Under the impression that you, as a friend, can behave as you like, do not violate the rights of your friend because, when he is deprived of his rights and privileges, he will no more remain your friend. Do not ill-treat members of your family and do not behave with them as if you are the most cruel man alive. Do not run after him who tries to avoid you. The greatest achievement of your character is that the hostility of your brother against you does not overcome the consideration and friendship you feel towards him, and his ill-treatment of you does not overbalance your kind treatment to him. Do not get worried and depressed over the oppressions because whoever oppresses you is in reality doing himself harm and is trying to find ways for your good. Never ill-treat a person who has done good to you.

حقوق الاصدقاء
احْمِلْ نَفْسَكَ مِنْ أَخِيكَ عِنْدَ صَرْمِهِ عَلَى الصِّلَةِ، وَعِنْدَ صُدُودِهِ عَلَى اللَّطَفِ وَالْمُقَارَبَةِ، وَعِنْدَ جُمُودِهِ عَلَى الْبَذْلِ، وَعِنْدَ َبَاعُدِهِ عَلَى الدُّنُوِّ، وَعِنْدَ شِدَّتِهِ عَلَى اللِّينِ، وَعِنْدَ جُرْمِهِ عَلَى الْعُذْرِ، حَتَّى كَأَنَّكَ لَهُ عَبْدٌ، وَكَأَنَّهُ ذُونِعْمَة عَلَيْكَ

وَإِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَضَعَ ذلِكَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْضِعِهِ، أَوْ أَنْ تَفْعَلَهُ بِغَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ، لاَ تَتَّخِذَنَّ عَدُوَّ صَدِيقِكَ صَدِيقاً فَتُعَادِيَ صَدِيقَكَ، وَامْحَضْ أَخَاكَ النَّصِيحَةَ، حَسَنةً كَانَتْ أَمْ قَبِيحَةً، وَتَجَرَّعِ الْغَيْظَ، فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ جُرْعَةً أَحْلَى مِنْهَا عَاقِبَةً، وَلاَ أَلَذَّ مَغَبَّةً

وَلِنْ لِمَنْ غَالَظَكَ، فَإِنَّهُ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَلِينَ لَكَ، وَخُذْ عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ بِالْفَضْلِ فإِنَّهُ أَحْلَى الظَّفَرَيْنِ، وَإِنْ أَرَدْتَ قَطِيعَةَ أَخِيكَ فَاسْتَبْقِ لَهُ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ بَقِيَّةً يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهَا إِنْ بَدَا لَهُ ذلِكَ يَوْماً مَا، وَمَنْ ظَنَّ بِكَ خَيْراً فَصَدِّقْ ظَّنهُ، وَلاَ تُضِيعَنَّ حَقَّ أَخِيكَ اتِّكَالاً عَلَى مَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَكَ بِأَخ مَنْ أَضَعْتَ حَقَّه، وَلاَ يكُنْ أَهْلُكَ أَشْقَى الْخَلْقِ بِكَ وَلاَ تَرْغَبَنَّ فِيمَنْ زَهِدَ فِيكَ، وَلاَ يَكُونَنَّ أَخُوكَ أَقْوَى عَلَى قَطِيعَتِكَ مِنْكَ عَلَى صِلَتِهِ، وَلاَ تكُونَنَّ عَلَى الاِْسَاءَةِ أَقْوَى مِنْكَ عَلَى الاِْحْسَانِ، وَلاَ يَكْبُرَنَّ عَلَيْكَ ظُلْمُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ، فَإِنَّهُ يَسْعَى فِي مَضَرَّتِهِ وَنَفْعِكَ، وَلَيْسَ جَزَاءُ مَنْ سَرَّكَ أَنْ تَسُوءَهُ

حقوق دوستان
چون برادرت از تو جدا گردد، تو پیوند دوستی را برقرار کن، اگر روی برگرداند تو مهربانی کن، و چون بخل ورزد تو بخشنده باش، هنگامی که دوری می گزیند تو نزدیک شو، و چون سخت می گیرد تو آسان گیر، و به هنگام گناهش عذر او بپذیر، چنان که گویا بنده اومی باشی، و او صاحب نعمت تو می باشد

مبادا دستورات یاد شده را با غیر دوستانت انجام دهی، یا با انسان هایی که سزاوار آن نیستند بجا آوری، دشمن دوست خود را دوست مگیر تا با دوست دشمنی نکنی. در پند دادن دوست بکوش، خوب باشد یا بد، و خشم را فرو خور که من جرعه ای شیرین تر از آن ننوشیدم، و پایانی گواراتر از آن ندیده ام

با آن کس که با تو درشتی کرده، نرم باش که امید است به زودی در برابر تو نرم شود; با دشمن خود با بخشش رفتار کن، زیرا سرانجام شیرین دو پیروزی است( انتقام گرفتن یا بخشیدن) اگر خواستی از برادرت جدا شوی، جایی برای دوستی باقی گذار، تا اگر روزی خواست به سوی تو باز گردد بتواند; کسی که به تو گمان نیک برد او را تصدیق کن، و هرگز حق برادرت را به اعتماد دوستی که با او داری ضایع نکن، زیرا آن کس که حقش را ضایع می کنی با تو برادر نخواهد بود; و افراد خانواده ات بدبخت ترین مردم نسبت به تو نباشند، و به کسی که به تو علاقه ای ندارد دل مبند; مبادا برادرت برای قطع پیوند دوستی، دلیل محکم تر از برقراری پیوند با تو داشته باشد، و یا در بدی کردن، بهانه ای قوی تر از نیکی کردن به تو بیاورد; ستمکاری کسی که به تو ستم می کند در دیده ات بزرگ جلوه نکند، چه او به زیان خود، و سود تو کوشش دارد، و سزای آن کس که تو را شاد می کند بدی کردن نیست

Imam Sadegh (P.B.U.H ) - one of the Islam's leader after Prophet Muhammad- says:

an envious person sustains a loss to himself before causing a loss to whom he envies.

bihar-ul- anwar, volume 73, page 255

brief description
the spirit of envy refers to not tolerating the others having a blessing, and trying to deprive them from that blessing, or causing a loss to them in other ways.
in fact, an envious person always activates as a retardation factor not a developmental factor.
envy is a big moral disease and in psychological view, the jealous person suffers more loss and also is melted, retarded and humiliated more than others. thus it is better that he try for precedence instead of causing others to be retarded.



قال الصادق عليه السلام
الحاسِدُ مُضِرُّ بِنَفْسِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُضُرّ بِالَْمحْسُودِ
انسان حسود قبل از انکه به آنکه نسبت به او حسد ورزيده ضرر بزند، به خودش آسيب مي رساند

one who knows something and does not observe it, and does not use his knowledge, his punishment in the hereafter would be the most severe one.

in islam's logic, knowledge is always a tool for practice and improving individual and society's life. otherwise it has no value. those who commit a sin unknowingly have less responsibility, but high responsibility shall be on the burden of those who commit a sin knowingly, and those who neglect making aware different levels of society, and whosoever enjoys a small or big share of knowledge, shall bear the same responsibility accordingly.
قال رسول الله صل الله
أَشَدُّ النّاسِ عَذَاباً فِى الْقِيامَةِ عَالِمٌ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ بِعِلْمِهِ وَ لَمْ يَنْفَعْهُ عِلْمُه
بد ترین مردم در روز قیامت، عالمی است که به علمش عمل نمی کند و دانشش او را سود نمی رساند

Imam Sadigh (a.s.) said:
worshippers are three groups: those who worship Allah for the fear from hell; this is the worship of slaves.
those who worship allah for his reward; this is the worship of mercenaries.
and those who worship Allah for his love and affection; this is the worship of freemen.


breif discription:
although the promises to divine reward and punishment are all true, his reward is very valuable and his chastisement is very painful, but those high minded freemen who do not see anything save god, and do not seek anything save god, and the measure of their heart is full of love and kindness, they are looking for something higher than reward and punishment, and their motive for observing god's command, is only a love mingled with his cognition and knowing.


قال الصادق علیه السلام
اَلْعُبّادُ ثَلثَةٌ: قَوْمٌ عَبَدُوا اللّهَ خَوْفاً فَتِلْكَ عِبادَةُ الْعَبِيد، و قَوْمٌ عَبَدُوا اللّه طَلَبَ الثَّوابِ فَتِلْكَ عِبادَةُ الأُجراءِ، وَ قَوْمٌ عَبَدُوا اللّهَ حُبًّا لَهُ فَتِلْكَ عِبادَةُالأَحْرارِ
امام صادق علیه السلام می فرماید
عبادت کنندگان سه دسته اند: عده ای از ترس جهنم عبادت خدا را می کنند که آن عبادت بردگان است. عده ای برای کسب ثواب بندگی خدا را می کنند که عبادت تاجران است. و عده ای از روی شوق و علاقه، بندگی خدا را می کنند که آن عبادت آزادگان است

the best people are those who judge fairly.

brief description
fair judgement in legal, social and moral concerns is only possible for one who considers his own and the others interest equally and his personal affection and hatred do not prevent him from justice and righteousness.
and this is possible only for those whose existence is lightened with the light of belief, human virtues, and public affections so that powerful waves of selfishness, profit motivation and amour- prope can not deviate the indicator of their mind and conscience. such people deserve to be called "the best people".


قال اميرالمومنين
خَيْرُ النّاسِ قُضاةُ الْحَقِّ
امام علي عليه السلام فرمود
بهترين مردم آن دسته اند که عادلانه قضاوت کنند

Woe on the one who doesn’t know; and woe on the one who knows but doesn’t act upon his knowledge.

The Prophet Mohamad(P.B.U.H) said:
When the son of Adam gets old, two things become young in him: Greed for wealth, and greed for life.


قال رسول الله صلّ الله علیه و آله
یَهرمُ ابن آدَمََ و یشُبُّ منه اثنتان الحرصُ علی مال و الحرصُ علی العمرِ
پیامبر اکرم صل الله علیه و آله میفرماید
فرزند آدم پیر می شود و دو چیز در او جوان می گردد: حرص مال و حرص عمر

The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) says:
do not respect only the excess of prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, righteousness with others and vigil of some people (although they are important in their own turn). rather consider their "honesty" and "trustworthiness"!

brief description
studying islamic documents clarifies this fact that two decisive signs of a real moslem is being honest and trustworthy, and although islamic services such as prayer, fasting and pilgrimage are considered as high educational programs, but they are not signs of islam and should be completed with honesty and trustworthiness.


قال رسول الله صل الله عليه و آله
لاَ تَنْظُرُوا إلى كَثْرةِ صَلاتِهِمْ و صَوْمِهِمْ وَ كَثْرَةِ الْحَجِّ و الْمَعْرُوفِ و طَنْطَنَتِهمْ بِالليْلِ وَلكِنْ اُنْظُرُوا إلى صِدْق الْحَدِيْثِ وَ
أَداءِ الأَمانَةِ
پیامبر(ص) فرمود
به زيادي نماز و روزه و حج و شب بيداري افراد نگاه نکنيد (البته اينها در جاي خود با ارزشند) بلکه به صداقت و
نيکي گفتارشان توجه کنيد

The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) says:
be aware! knowledge not furnished with thinking has no profit!
be aware! recitation of quran not accompanied with reflection is useless!
be aware! worship lacking meditation has no effect!


brief description
filling the brain with scientific formulas, logical rules and philosophical principles, and any knowledge has a little effect as long as it is not in concordance with proper reflection, clear world- view and familiarity with fundamentals of man's life.
as reciting holy verses of quran has a little effect when it is not accompanied with meditation and thinking about them, the worships missing the light
of thinking and wisdom are like a spiritless body, and lose the high educational effects.

قال رسول الله صل الله عليه و آله
أَلا لا خَيْرَ فى عِلم لَيْسَ فيهِ تَفَهُّمٌ، ألا لا خَيْرَ فى قرائة لَيْسَ فيها تَدَبُّرٌ، ألا لاَ خَيْرَ فى عِبادَة لَيْسَ فيها تَفَكُّرٌ
پیامبر رحمت صلّ الله علیه و آله
در علمي كه در آن فهم نباشد خيري نيست در قرائتي كه در آن تدبر نباشد خيري نيست و در عبادتي كه در آن تفكر
نباشد خيري نيست

منفور ترین مردم پیش خدا آن کس است که ایمان آورد و سپس کافر شود

The reward of a muslim who plants a young tree or cultivates a field for people, birds or grazing animals to ret is like one who grants his money as alms.



قال رسول الله صلّ الله علیه و آله
ما من مسلم بغرس غرسا او یزرع زرعا فیاکل منه انسانٌ او طیرٌ او بهیمةٌ الّا کانت له به صدقهٌ
مسلمانی که درختی بکارد، یا زراعتی سبز نماید تا مردم و پرندگان و چرندگان از آن بخورند، پاداش صدقه دارد

شما را مژده می دهم و شما به دیگران مژده دهید، که هر کس که شهادت دهد که خدایی جز خدای یگانه نیست و بدان معتقد باشد، داخل بهشت می شود
